About this blog....

Our family is on a six month adventure in Costa Rica. Before leaving, our friends, the Cox family, gave us a precious gift... a photo scavenger hunt of things for us to discover and experience in Costa Rica. This is our account of how the scavenger hunt is going.... along with other pictures and thoughts about our time in Costa Rica.

#15 Eating a casado

A casado is a traditional meal served in Costa Rica that includes rice, beans, plantains, pico de gallo, and meat.  You can find these most traditionally at small restaurants called sodas. We enjoyed eating at a soda near our home... and the kids really enjoyed the casados. And they are cheaper than eating at McDonalds! $5 American dollars will give you a casado and a drink.

Ethan says: My favorite part of the casado was the banana and the salad with pico de gallo.
Maddie says: This plate of food is so delicious! Love it!
